Types of Car Insurance

Legally, as a driver, we are required to carry auto insurance, but in general, auto insurance protects us from the liability or the cost of an automobile accident. However, with more protection come higher premiums. Choosing the level of coverage is the trickiest part of auto insurance.

In general, there are three types of auto-related insurance. Within each of these, you will need to decide the amount of coverage you'll need.
  • Standard Liability Insurance covers your liability - bodily damage, lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering - should you cause injury to others.
  • Uninsured and Medical Insurance protects yourself against drivers with little or no insurance, and to provide you with medical protection if you are not covered under any other health plan.
  • Collision & Comprehensive Insurance covers collision and comprehensive coverage.
In order receive the best and lowest rate possible, take advantage of discounts and cutbacks on your premium. Special conditions may qualify you for rollbacks on your insurance premium.
