Auto clubs are an affordable way to ensure you get emergency roadside service when you need it, along with countless other benefits. But did you know that they also offer affordable insurance? Members of auto clubs in the USA save around $27,000 000.00 on auto club insurance.

It all sounds too good to be true. So what can you expect from emergency roadside assistance?

What Levels of Emergency Roadside Assistance are There?

It pays to shop around when looking for an auto club. Once you find the one for you, they will probably offer different levels of cover to include the following:
  • Emergency roadside assistance for mechanical breakdowns, flat tires, dead batteries and running out of fuel (this may include coverage whether you are the driver, or just a passenger)
  • Towing you to a garage, if necessary
  • Lockout services if you get locked out of your car and lost key return services
  • Discounts on hotels and car rental if you need them
  • Maps and route finders
  • Legal assistance
  • Auto theft and hit and run awards

Surely there Must Be Some Disadvantages to Auto Clubs?

You must always do your research when looking into the services offered by auto clubs. Read all of the small print carefully, and look out for the following:
  • Services available may differ from state to state. Check with your home agency before traveling.
  • There may only be a limited of number of times you can use the emergency roadside assistance services before additional charges will apply.
  • If you live in or are traveling to an area with severe weather conditions, ensure this is covered in the policy.

Is Auto Club Insurance Affordable Insurance?

Yes - but you should always shop around for affordable insurance. Auto club insurance is undoubtedly cheaper for members of the auto club. We'll look into ways of getting affordable insurance next time.
