Welcome to another installment of "Tell that to your Claims Adjuster," a weekly column that offers insurance advice from a man with more insurance war stories than he cares to admit. Yes, friends, hopefully my tales of woe will help you avoid the many insurance pitfalls I encountered as a swashbuckling yet ill-advised youth. In this week's column, I will discuss an insurance plan I came across that makes me extremely jealous because I can't buy it yet?AARP Auto Insurance.

Over 50? You could save up to $300 on your auto insurance premium.
The Hartford AARP Insurance - Today's Your Lucky Day if You're Over 50 Argghhh! I am very frustrated, my friends. I just happened upon an insurance program that is too good to be true for everyone under the age of 50?which includes yours truly.
You probably all know by now that I like insurance. I especially like cheap insurance. My inner miser leads me to spend way too much time online searching for cheap insurance plans. I guess the only benefit to this somewhat obsessive-compulsive behavior is that I like to share what I've found to you - my loyal penny pinching audience.
Well here is something that my more seasoned audience can enjoy. I hope you like this gift, because it does absolutely nothing for me and any of my younger audience. My advice to everyone over to age of 50 is to check out the various AARP Harford Insurance plans.
The Hartford AARP Auto Insurance - Looks Like a Great Deal For those that don't know AARP stand for the American Association or Retired Persons, and it is huge organization that works for the benefits of its members, who are all over the age of 50. Because the AARP has so many members and is so influential, many companies offer discounts to AARP members in exchange for endorsements or advertising space from the organization.
Apparently, AARP teamed up with the Harford insurance company and is now offering insurance plans at reduced rates for their members. It appears that one of their more popular plans is AARP Car Insurance. From what I've heard and read, AARP Auto insurance can save AARP members up to $300 in a customer's first year.
So if you're over 50, I recommend that you check on the discounts you may receive on insurance as a member of AARP. If nothing else, you can always get a free quote online that will take a few minutes. It could be a great investment of time if you can save a few hundred bucks on car insurance.
